Reiki traces back to the teachings of Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1920s. Dr Usui was a spiritual seeker who dedicated his life to understanding universal healing energy. This gentle, energy healing practice works with the universal life force, known as “ki” (sometimes called “chi” or “prana”) flowing all around us. When this energy flows freely in and within your body’s field, you feel vibrant and healthy, but when it gets blocked or stagnant, you may feel pain, drained, or emotionally, physically, mentally, or spiritually disconnected. Reiki helps get that energy moving again, clearing blockages, restoring balance, and supporting healing of mind, body, and spirit.

 

During a session, you simply lie fully clothed while healing energy is channeled through the hands of your reiki practitioner. Some people experience warmth or tingling, others may feel emotional, and many simply drift into a deep peaceful state, or even fall asleep.  What makes this work really special is the intuitive aspect. Energy healing naturally opens your awareness and heightens sensitivity, creating a beautiful space for insight and spiritual connection - offering an even deeper opportunity for healing. Each session meets your energy needs of the day, and what comes through is always unique, and exactly what you need.
